A Stone News Highlight!

After several years of nearly missing a Florida School Grade of a B, in 2002-2003
Stone Middle students and staff leap-frogged to an A!

The following year, 2003-2004, scores on the FCAT
left us just 2 points shy of an A rating.

During the 2004-2005 school year we regained that A position.

State Senator Mike Haridopolos
presents Stone Principal Andy Johnson
with A-School Award Check.

In 2003, former Stone Middle School Principal Tim Cool stated that he was,
"..proud to announce that Stone MS was not only designated an A School, but it showed the greatest increase of any middle school in Brevard School District. This was a remarkable accomplishment and one that we should all take great pride in.

I think it will be a big boost in the arm of our entire community. Everyone will now believe we can do it, because we have."

We are also very proud to share with you that during the 2002-3 school year, our students missed less school than ever before in the known history of the school. Stone made the most improvement in attendance rate by jumping from 89.72 percent to 95.05 percent of all possible hours of school presence!
